Discover the Coimbra Fado, completely unique to the Portuguese people and sung live by a male singer, a former student at the Coimbra University, as tradition demands. Then, discover Amalia Rodrigues, the queen of Portuguese Fado. Watch how she transformed traditional Fado and brought unprecedented recognition.

    Stumbled across this little gem nestled in one of the tiny roads that lead to the river. The experience was mind-blowing. The little videos in between each performance were very educating and gave you a real feel for the history of this beautiful music. All staff were extremely friendly, such beautiful people with a real passion for what they do. Amazing musicians! 100% recommend this show. We are so glad we went and thank you to all the lovely staff who made everyone feel very welcome.

    This was a fantastic Fado experience - getting to learn a lot of information about the history of Fado as well as captivating performances. The owner was really friendly and the bar is in a great central location. 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Portugal's music and culture.

    I've been to a Fado before, but this was such a good combination of the history of Fado and the meaning of this form of music to the Portugese. I left feeling I had a Fado in my heart too! It was so well presented in a very cosy intimate environment and all the artists embodied the spirit of Fado. Thank you. It was music and poetry.

    This is a great option for some authentic Fado in the middle of the city. We chose this as we didn't want the commitment of staying for a long Fado evening in a restaurant. It's a really enjoyable way to spend an hour and learn a little about the tradition.

    Excellent 1Hour session of Fado with nice background video explaining the history location was small but comfortable. Serving of port is nice but probably unnecessary
