Start your evening cruising along the calm waters of Lake Wakatipu from Queenstown on board the TSS Earnslaw, a 1912 vintage steam ship, to arrive at Walter Peak Country Farm. Enjoy a gourmet BBQ buffet dinner in the Colonel's Homestead, as the resident pianist provides background music during dinner. On cooler nights, the open fire creates a cozy atmosphere. After dinner, you have the option to watch a farm show or relax in the bar before returning to Queenstown on the TSS Earnslaw.

The entire experience was wonderful! I had beautiful weather and the boat cruise to Walter Peak was lovely. The food on site was delicious. There was a large selection and something for everyone. The grounds were fun to walk around and the farm show at the end was a fun way to cap off the evening. Great for families or couples.

Lovely cruise on a steam boat to Walter Peak. Dinner buffet far exceeded our expectations. The sheep shearing was fun and informative. Would highly recommend

This was an amazing experience. The cruise, the piano playing, the farm exhibit and the food were all fabulous. Our Australian guest, who has a farming family also loved the evening. It was particularly uplifting to see all the restaurant staff at Walter Peak outside waving us a greeting as the boat arrived. Highly recommended.

We took a paddle boat powered by coal to Walter Peak. Had opportunity to see engines working and makeup of the vessel.
Dinner was excellent with an assortment of meats including pork, venison, beef, chicken and sea food, salads and desserts.
This was then followed up with a sheep shearing demonstration and the use of a dog in handling sheep in a field.
Highly recommend.
