This was my first ever solo trip to do a little soul searching and I truly couldn't have been happier. Patricia was the most wonderful tour guide. She was professional, kind, understanding, funny, organized and so very knowledgeable. Our driver, Mr. Alessandro was also super pleasant, kind and very personable. The best part, he kept his candy dish stocked just for me!

Italy is amazing, the views are spectacular, and you can't go wrong with the delicious, authentic, organic food. I was a little disappointed with the fact that I had to haul my luggage from the hotel to the tour bus every time we moved from city to city. I compared notes with other travelers whose tour company provided the service. The hotels are rated at 4 to 5 star, but in my opinion, they should be rated at 3 stars. My second hotel accommodated us in a room with broken air conditioner, and no wifi. I had to practically cry before they moved us to another room ,and there was nothing I can do about the wifi. The trip notes stated that our deluxe coach tour bus had an onboard toilet, NOT, we had to make bathroom stops every time. There is no leg room between seats and very uncomfortable for all the time spent on the bus. We found ourselves rushing so not to miss the bus during our free time to explore, eat at an authentic restaurant, shop, and take photos (not enough free time). Breakfast were very good, lunch in Montepulciano was excellent, and our tour guide Lucy was amazing. Overall it was a great trip, but I'm on the fence about using "On the go Tours" again.

The tours we received were good. We were disappointed in a few things. The tour is actually six days, they are counting the departure day as a tour day. Also the first day is only a two hour evening walk in Rome where you have to find your own way back to the hotel. In Venice one of the tour days required you to find you way back to the hotel which includes navigating water taxis and city bus. Many of the people in our tour were concerned about getting back to the hotel so our tour guide, on her own, arranged a water taxi and charter bus. The final day which is the Vatican tour also requires you to find your own way back to the hotel. This might not be a big deal to experienced travelers but we were inexperienced travelers and that's why we chose a bus tour. We were told we would be notified which hotel where the tour would commence a week prior to our arrival however we were never notified and only found out by calling when we arrived in Rome. The first day was confusing, there was no communication about start time so we showed up a day early and only learned that the tour started in the evening a day after our arrival rather than the morning. There should be better communication regarding start times for the first day, notification of the hotel where the tour starts from, pick up instructions at the airport, and prior notification that you will have to arrange your own transportation back to the hotel for two days in Rome and one day in Venice. When they mention "free time" that means you are dropped off and have to find your own transportation back to the hotel.

Appalling tour company! Couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery! Tour guides were rude, dismissive and disorganised. Currently stood in a car park in Pompeii with no clue or direction on which coach gets us back to Rome. Whole tour is a money making conveyer belt and sucking the money out of the tourists along with the joy of being in Italy!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!
