Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy

Begin your tour of Rome’s most iconic monument with Skip-the-Line access directly through the Gladiator’s Gate. Once the main exit for defeated contenders, this special entrance leads you directly to the parts of the Colosseum most tourists don’t get to see.
Your first stop is the Colosseum Underground – the backstage area where gladiators prepared for battle. Here, your expert, English-speaking guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to let you imagine the space as it once was. Scenery and caged wild animals stood ready to be hoisted into the arena by ingenious pulleys. You’ll practically feel the gladiators’ tense anticipation and hear the roar of the blood-thirsty crowd.
Then, walk in the gladiators’ footsteps on a partially reconstructed arena stage – a unique and amazing photo opportunity. And unlike the gladiators, you’ll get to ascend from the Arena Floor to the Colosseum’s second tier, where fans cheered the violent spectacles below.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Palatine Hill, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy

The next stop on the tour takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy a spectacular preview of your next destination: the Roman Forum.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Roman Forum, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy

The Forum and the Via Sacra, the Sacred Way, were the heart of Ancient Rome. All of Roman life could be found in this bustling marketplace: commerce and trade, political rallies, military parades, and the sacred ceremonies of the Vestal Virgins.

Colosseum by night with all the explanation and atmosphere of ancient time recreated is the best choice .Our guide was excellent. Tour operator resolved very prompt our problem( nobody came at the meeting point). We start the tour from Trajan Column with another guide who explain the history of the Roman Forum and Capitoline Hill till we arrived at Colosseum. There are about few tourist who choose to visit Colosseum by night and this is an advantage, too.

If you want to see as much of the Colosseum as a tourist can, do this tour! We met our guide Valerio at the meeting point and he quickly took us to the Colosseum for our scheduled inside tour. While we had to wait a little before our tour started, Valerio shared facts and trivia about the Colosseum. Inside the Colosseum, we toured the arena floor, the underground and had private access to the 3rd tier Panoramic View. Amazing!

After, Valerio took us to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. He was extremely knowledgeable and loved to share what he knew and answer questions. If it wasn't so hot, we would have loved more time with him learning more about the amazing ruins! Great guide!

I never thought being so close to what happened almost 2000 years ago. Chiara is a very knowledgeable artchitecture and she prepares you in advance for what to expect while you are inside the coliseum.
Claudia is a,so an artchitecture plus a tour guide: her service was excellent, her explanations regarding the Nerón era plus the foro Julio Cesar Ancient Rome where excellent too.
Great tour. A MUST

We enjoyed a private tour with Rosalba for the afternoon as we learned about the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Ruins. She was friendly and energetic and didn’t miss a beat in the hot Roman sun! She was knowledgeable about all aspects of the area and was able to answer the many questions posed by our kids. Thank you for an amazing family experience! 👍🏻👍🏻
