Overview

Take a Vespa tour on the ancient Via Appia, the most famous of roads leading to Rome, that once connected the capital to the Port of Brindisi in southeastern Italy. You will be amazed by the amount of history that lies under and around the 2,000 year old cobblestone. The road’s initial stretch is lined with the great monuments and ancient tombs of patrician Roman families. It was along the Appian Way that an escaping Peter encountered the vision of Christ. On this road Spartacus was crucified along with his army.

We will start the amazing trip visiting the door and the museum of Saint Sebastian, taking a stroll in the Scipion's park then we will pass through many catacombs as the famous saint sebastian, Then we continues to the antique tomb of Cecilia Metella and the villa of the Quintiles brothers, and finally we will reach the aqueduct park. We will make the experience of the roman landscape depicted from the artists of the past.

Marco and Francesca picked us up at our hotel for our tour but it was raining so we all decided to "change plans" and Marco suggested a "City Tour" of Rome instead. This was the best tour we have taken in a long time. Hubby and I not only felt very safe with our tour guides driving but we literally went EVERYWHERE. Marco was extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw. He took his time explaining each focal point and made it come alive. He let us stop anywhere we wanted to spend a little more time, we never felt rushed. We were so happy we were not able to do the traditional Appian way tour we signed up for (although we did some of it and it was great). I cannot recommend this tour company enough and especially our guides. They were truly OUTSTANDING.

THE most exciting way to see Rome. Professional drivers ensured fun and safety. Learned a great deal about Rome’s history not covered on other tours.

My husband and I took the Appian Way Vespa tour in early October. Mario our guide was awesome! He provided very informative historical commentary at each stop along the tour. Vespa rentals from Centro Moto Colosseo were of high quality. Great time!

This was THE MOST amazing tour! It was my husband and I with Victorio, our Vespa tour guide. Victorio was so much fun and so knowledgeable. We saw so many parts of the city, and outside of the city gates, that many will never experience. Taking a Vespa tour of Rome is the best way to see everything while having a blast. Don't miss this!
