Overview

We will meet on the lake,(www.instagram.com/romekayaktour) after a small breafing on the beach we will immerse ourselves immediately in the wildest nature listening only to the sound of the water that moves with our paddles, where, stopping at some points, we will tell you the history of Castelgandolfo.

A dive into the past, from prehistory to ancient Rome, and then to the Pope's trampoline, where the popes loved to spend their summer holidays.

Almost at the end of the tour we will dock on an ancient Roman port and we will find ready for us a tasting of wines, meats and cheeses typical of the place, a relaxing break and then finish the tour in just 10 minutes.

What Can You Expect?

On the beach we will teach you the movement of the paddling and as you enter and maneuver the kayak, we will wear the life jacket and go away immediately with your single or double kayak.
Our mission is to make you fall in love with nature that mixes with the history of ancient Rome and the Popes, and we will let you retrace all the points that have surprised us.
We will submerge you and show you all of its beauty in one fell swoop like in a thunderbolt.
We will see the submerged piles, the Roman port of the Villa of Domitian, the Pope's springboard and we will be silent in the peace of nature, and in spring and summer we will also bathe in its pure waters.

Great Kayak experience. Alex is a wonderful accomplished professional Kayaker. Pick up from Anagnina Station was easy and efficient. Friendly and well spoken he helped one person who had previous difficulties kayaking through the issues give her and enjoyable experience. The water was and weather was beautiful. We will return to kayak the lake again. Highly recommend this tour.

Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful small town and break from the city. A great day trip from rome. All kayaking abilities can do this. Alex was a great tour guide and told us a lot about the local town and places to go! Castel Gandolfo was so beautiful and just a short walk from the lake.

We had the most amazing time kayaking with Andrea. We booked this quite last minute but we’re so glad we did. I’d never kayaked before but this didn’t matter. Andrea gave us a quick lesson on how to paddle and then we set off on the lake. Andrea knew lots of interesting information about the lake and was clearly passionate about being outdoors and exploring, we felt very at ease with him and chatted and laughed the whole way round the lake. The food tasting was good and consisted of different local meats and cheese with some Prosecco. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you to Andrea and the rest of the team! This was such a great way to get away from the crowds of the big cities.

We scheduled this trip as it was out last day in Italy together as a family. The instructors were great, our instruction was Mike, after taking the drive to the lake and then changing our clothes we were in the water and enjoying the scenery.
