We loved the tour, and especially loved our guide, Guilio, who is an archeologist and has worked at the coloseum!! The tour was engaging and entertaining and informational. Just perfect for us and our 11 year old. Fascinating. Loved skip the line access. A must-see. Ask for Guilio!!

Our guide, Diego, was knowledgeable and articulate. The tour was whirlwind but manageable. There was so much ground to cover. I highly recommend.

Small means small - not 29 not 24 - more like 10 or 12! Come on La Vacanza Travel! Good site - good knowledgeable guide. Too bad she was hurried and my electronics weren’t so good. Others in group thought she and electronics fine. We seemed to rush by some things that would have been easy to incorporate- too big a big group La Vacanza Travel or local associate of La Vacanza Travel?!! La Vacanza Travel usually good with quality control- not so much here this time.

The best tour I’ve ever taken. I didn’t know before the tour that Dennis was an archaeologist but his knowledge of Ancient Rome made it evident. He was amazing. Make sure you ask for Dennis to be your tour guide.

We had a great experience with this tour. It was one of a couple 'small group' tours that we booked, and we were pleased to find that it was actually a small group (under a dozen people).

Our tour ended up starting in the Forum and finishing in the Colosseum, but I actually preferred that given that a) there's a lot more history to unpack at the Forum and b) this gave us the opportunity to spend more time exploring the Colosseum at our own pace.

Headsets were useful given the level of noise and amount of walking that you do in crowded areas. I unfortunately don't remember the name of our guide, but she was very knowledgeable and funny, with ready answers to all our questions. Given the number of so-so reviews on other similar tours, I'd highly recommend booking this one.
