I was part of a group of 8, who were lucky enough to get Dan as our guide. His warmth, friendliness and knowledge made for a truly excellent experience for us all. Tour only meant to be 2 hours but instead it lasted 3 - we got to see and learn about so much!!! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. I was a solo traveller and felt very comfortable as Dan made sure to include everyone and we all had plenty of fun and laughs along the way.

Great guide who was very knowledgeable and took us a route around Rome passing many interesting places. Having done a couple of tours we were expecting ear pieces so they could walk and talk but it was a case of huddle around and listen which was actually fine once we moved away from the busier areas as we were a small group, but at the start around the busy areas it was very difficult to hear. That is the only ready for one star off. Otherwise meeting place and guide was very good.

A last minute decision, we couldn't be happier with our tour of Rome. We booked just a few hours before the tour was slated to begin. We met our guide, Anastasia, at Piazza Navona. Even before setting out, she explained to us how Rome was a city of many levels. Over the centuries, new parts of the city have been built atop old sections. So, just below any surface, ancient history is just waiting to be revealed. Anastasia's enthusiasm and passion for the art, architecture and history of Rome was obvious and infectious. During our almost three hours with her, we toured many areas of Rome that we would not have been able to find on our own. Whether it was a church, government office or library, she explained the historical significance of each area and in what ways present life is folded in. She showed us several hidden gems, like secret little water fountains off the beaten path and provided a wonderful insights into what it's like living in Rome as a student and transplant. The after-dark vibrancy of the city is a side many tourists never fully explore. We'd definitely recommend this tour. Consider yourself exceptionally fortunate if you get Anastasia as your guide.
