We purchased ‘fast track’ tickets to visit the Pantheon at 1pm. Arrived around 12:30 and found that the ‘fast track’ queue was about three times the length of the standard queue. After queuing for an hour for our 1pm ‘fast track’ visit, we had to give up. Really useless organisation and the tickets are completely pointless.
Ticket did not work had to purchase another at the entrance. Did not need the audio guide. It did help skip the line.
The pantheon like Saint Peters basicilla is awe inspiring a must when in Rome and the audio guide is very much a must when viewing the pantheon. Definitely a highlight.
Truly a disappointment of our trip to Italy. We had purchased “fast track” times tickets that were supposed to be for the first available time at 12:00 noon. We exchanged the vouchers for our tickets and went to get in line. It was pure chaos. We got in line about 1145 and it was already hundreds of people long. What made it worse was there were people with 11:00 entrance tickets that we’re trying to bump into the line and it was turning into arguments between the customers that was not being facilitated by the people who were working there. Our place in line barely moved in 30+ minutes. Because we had another tour planned at 2:00 we had to leave the Pantheon without going in. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because we had stopped by much earlier and saw a portion of the beauty from the outside. All I can say is to allow yourself PLENTY of time and patience for your visit.
