The day starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Rome by your expert driver-guide. On the way to Pompeii, you will hear the fascinating story behind this world-famous archaeological site. The eruption of Mount Vesuvius on the 24th of August in 79 AD turned this once thriving harbor city into an inferno of death and destruction.

Pompeii is one of the most beautiful and impressive archaeological sites you might see in your life. You can spend an entire day over there. The major highlights of the destination that you shouldn't miss are the amphitheater, villa of mysteries, house of a dancing faun, the frescos, graffiti, and mosaics are also very interesting to watch. If you want to boost your traveling experience and get the most of it, we highly recommend to get a professional local guide. It will add up to 160 euros to the total but it's definitely worth it,
After the visit to Pompeii we will continue driving to reach the Amalfi coast, we will make several stops to admire the stunning panoramic views first at Sorrento and a longer break in the former sleeping fishing village of Positano. Today this picturesque town is a popular tourist destination thanks to its beauty and charm.
PLEASE NOTE: in summer we visit Pompei in the afternoon, in winter we do it in the morning.

After the visit to Pompei we will drive along the Amalfi coast making different stops to enjoy the beautiful views specially at Sorrento & Positano. Since it's a private tour so the itinerary is flexible and you can change it as you want, our drivers can guide you better about the best route and which sites are worth visiting so you don't miss anything.

Lunch time your driver will take you to a family restaurant on the top of the mountain to enjoy a typical meal and wine of this area of southern Italy and also a panoramic beautiful view of the bay of Positano. After lunch you have some free time to stroll in the small streets of Positano to enjoy the atmosphere and charm of that place and maybe do some shopping.
