I paid over $600 for transportation that we never ended up taking! The phone number on the ticket didn't work so we waited an hour for someone to contact us. Finally after an hour and a half a "dispatcher" told us the driver was "on his way" and it wouldn't be much longer. Irate, we asked for a refund so we could make other arrangements, which they refused to do. I had 4 kids with me, one who was sick, and a woman that couldn't guarantee me a time or driver. We were offered a 10% discount for our inconvenience. Not good enough. We decided to accommodate the kids and take a different service. The management refused to speak to us and we were told they weren't fluent in English and since they had already been paid we had no recourse. They repeatedly said the roads were closed in Rome...but the other families in our group had no problems and they were connected with their respective transport within moments. Terrible experience. There are plenty of taxis and independent services waiting around, don't prebook with this company.
We had to walk outside from the baggage claim but once we got there it was easy to find our driver. I will say I expected him to take us straight to the ship and instead he dropped us off at the outside area of the pier so we could take the shuttle bus to the Ship. I don't know what the rules are exactly there, but I saw other passengers being dropped off at the ship embarkation location, that would have been nice to not have the extra step of the shuttle bus. That was my only complaint though!
RomaTravel. Driver was early to pick us up so no waiting. He was very friendly, helpful and informative. We had a nice leisurely ride to the port. We would use this travel service again.
