When in Rome, do as the locals do and zip around the city by Vespa. Riding on the back of the vintage scooter, you’ll see all the major landmarks and some lesser-known sights in one half-day tour. Bypass the traffic to discover piazzas and panoramas, and jump off to snap photos of the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and more. The 3-hour private tour includes an espresso or gelato, plus your very own private guide.

Start with a pickup from your Rome hotel, and hop on the back of your Vespa scooter, behind your private guide. After a short safety briefing, you’ll set off to explore the colorful cobblestone streets of Rome.

Your first stop is Piazza Venezia, home to the Vittoriano monument, the imposing white structure that dominates the cityscape of Rome. Hop off to learn about the landmark and hear recent stories about the struggles of Italians for their freedom.

Head onward to the Imperial Forum to learn about the Roman Empire from its glory days to its decline. As you circle the streets of Ancient Rome, you’ll come face-to-face with the Colosseum. Jump off for a few more photos, and listen to your guide’s commentary to separate the Hollywood stories from the Colosseum’s historical reality.

Continue to tucked-away treasures such as the Baths of Caracalla, and get to know the Ancient Appian Way. Stop to refuel with an espresso or gelato in the food-lovers district of Testaccio, and climb the green boulevard known as Aventine Hill. Admire sweeping panoramas from the orangery, before you look through the secret keyhole of Rome for a unique sight of St. Peter’s Basilica.

As you wind your way back down the hill, check out Circus Maximus and the ruins of Caesar’s Palace in the distance. Once back in town, it’s time to finish up with a drop-off at your Rome hotel.

This was by far our favorite tour we did in Rome. Our guides were excellent! They were very informative, fun and professional. We got to see parts of Rome that you normally wouldn't. My husband has his own Vespa and motorcycles and loved this tour. It was such a great experience.

Had the best time, Jajacoba was my tour guide and he was excellent. There were a total of 6 females (family) on this tour and we each had our own tour guide. This was the highlight of my trip to Rome, I am going back to Rome and will definitely do this tour again.

In Rome for 3 days, our eyes and bellies were already full of amazing things :-)

But THIS topped it all and beautifully completed our Roman Holidays. Our guides not only shared their impressive and captivating historic anecdotes, but they also made the experience fun, safe and adapted to us. They offered us to choose our route, and customize the experience to have a deeper look into what Rome was and how it evolved: the remote little basilica with its cloister, the bath, the outskirts, the caffé break in today's heart of Roma.
Grazie Mille Valerio and Riccardo :-)
