  • Bare shoulders and knees are not allowed inside the Sistine Chapel and BAsilica - Entrance will be denied without refund for non-compliance
  • Meeting Point: If you’re using a taxi service, specify that you’re going to the Vatican museums in Viale Vaticano (as some drivers take clients near St. Peter’s Square)
  • Near public transportation
  • Unpredictable Circumstances: Due to the popularity of Pope Francis, the museums or the Sistine Chapel might close without prior notice. Under such circumstances we will complete the tour inside the Vatican museums.
  • Security Entrance: Small backpacks are allowed / Oversized items will require check-in / Liquids and sharp items are not allowed through the security check point
  • Wednesday mornings and Sundays Not Available
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Aminimum of 3 people per booking is required
  • Minimum Numbers apply: there is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough booking

We had a group of four adults and five kids ages 14, 14, 11, 10 and 10. As parents, we were concerned about whether our kids would last through a Vatican tour, but we felt the Vatican was a highlight in Rome and that the Vatican is a MUST DO in Rome. Maurizio was great with the kids. He was laid back and set a relaxed pace. He started with a scavenger hunt booklet which immediately engaged the kids. We hit the highlights of Vatican City, not spending too long in any one area so the kids didn't lose interest. I would definitely consider using the company for our next vacation!

We had a great experience with Rome 4 kids. There can be some long days for kids in museums and historical places so finding a way to keep them engaged is key. My boys are 6 and 9 years old and Tomasso was fantastic in knowledge of not only what is in the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's, but equally as important how to navigate these places in the best possible way for your family. We spent two weeks in Italy and Tomasso was far and away our best tour guide. We've already referred him to friends who are traveling to Rome later this year. I can't say enough good things about Tomasso.

My family and I had a wonderful experience with this tour company! Ilaria was our guide and led us on an organized tour of the Vatican! She was very prepared, knowledgeable and kept my children engaged! Also, Ilaria took care of the tickets, any confusion we may have had and zipped us through any lines! We would absolutely hire this tour company again!

Our kids are still talking about the scavenger hunt at the Vatican! Marcello was an absolutely amazing guide with an encyclopedic knowledge of history and culture. Our boys (ages 7 and 9) were captivated and continue to bring up things they learned. I especially appreciated how Marcello noticed their interest in some of the more military aspects of the tour and made sure to point out the guards and other relevant facts. I would highly, highly recommend the tour and Marcello especially!

We did the early tour for teens. Maurizio was our tour guide and he kept everyone in my family entertained. Very knowledgeable and nice.
