This place lived up to it's reputation,,,Oia, with it's famous blue domed vistas is breathtakingly beautiful. But...there is a great more to see on Santorini. Our fantastic tour guide, Agatha, brought us around other parts of the island, including the charming town of Megalochari, which apparently hasn't changed too much for centuries, yet looks like a lovely place to live. Agatha was full of interesting information and knew exactly what we would enjoy seeing, and even turned us on to some of the best wine we've ever had (only available on Santorini) at a nice restaurant in Oia, King Neptune. Santorini should be on everyone's bucket list.

The views are spectacular but the crowds were overwhelming! The first part of the tour was boring. Oia was overcrowded and unbearable.

City was amazing, and we were in a small group with just a few other people. It was absolutely breathtaking, and our guide was incredible. Shore Excursions takes pride in the experience, and was much better than tours we took with the cruise line. We will definitely choose Shore Excursions again!

We tendered from our cruise ship and took the cable car up to meet our guide. There were only 2 others touring with us so it was very comfortable. We got an early start and it felt like we had Megolochori all to ourselves. We really enjoyed walking through the village and even got to visit a cave which had been used as a dwelling in the past. We visited the Argyros winery for a very nice tasting accompanied by local items to snack on. And on to free time walking about Oia which is stunning and already buzzing with tourists in May. We had ample opportunity to ask questions and get our guide's insights about the island. We would definitely recommend this tour.
