Gamat Bay is normally also one of the spots proposed by the snorkeling tours leaving from Toyapakeh or from Crystal Bay. In this case you will normally be perfectly supervised. The tour is a great experience as it usually includes Manta Bay to swim with Manta Rays. Gamat Bay is also one of the most beautiful scuba diving spots in Nusa Penida. Because the bay is a plateau about 8 meters deep, with a lot of colorful fish and coral. And you will often see turtles as well. It is therefore a good place to make a discovery dive when conditions are good. Especially if there is no current at the time of the tide. And at the exit of the bay there is a wall that goes down to a sand plateau 40 meters deep.

Manta Bay Snorkeling is so named as it’s one of the main dive sites in Bali where you can spot manta rays. These graceful rays are visible on almost every dives, along with spotted stingrays and nurse sharks. You can dive here all year round, however, the best time to go is usually between August and October, when visibility can be an excellent 20 meters deep. Most trips depart from the dive resorts on Nusa Lembongan, or from the coasts of Sanur and Padang Bai on the Bali mainland. The waters around Manta Point can get fairly cold, due to the open currents from the Indian Ocean.

This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island western shores. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances. Balinese architecture, traditionally designed gateways and ancient sculptures add to Uluwatu Temple appeal.

Kecak and Fire Dance is a Balinese dance which is influenced by Hindu religion and shown at night with circular forming dancers in Uluwatu Temple. Not known exactly where Kecak and Fire Dance originated, which was first developed but there are some kind of agreement on the Balinese Kecak was first developed into a performing arts in the village of Bona, Gianyar, as additional knowledge Kecak was originally a song or music that is resultant from a combination sounds that make up melodies that are usually used to accompany the sacred dance Sanghyang. And can only be staged in the temple. Then in the early 1930s by artists from the village of Bona, Gianyar trying to develop a Kecak dance by taking the story of Ramayana who danced as a substitute for Sanghyang Dance so this dance could eventually be displayed in public as a performance art. Part of the Ramayana story in which the first is taken as Goddess Sita was abducted by King Rahvana.
