Learn how to surf on the beautiful beach of Canggu. Receive personal instruction from an experienced surf instructor. Learn faster and ride more waves with this two-hour lesson.

We will make sure the conditions are safe for our students to have the best Surfing Experience possible. We cannot wait for you to be amazed by how easy and enjoyable it is to surf.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

If you’re ready to learn, the waves of Canggu Beach are a great place to get your feet wet. The lesson will be given by Curly. a local surf professional with over 20 years of surf experience and over 10 years of coaching experience. Our passion is surfing, and my office is the beach.

Begin by practicing the basics on the beach before hitting the water for your surf lesson! I will guide you through the waves and teach you all the necessary skills. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced surfer and you want to catch better/bigger waves – I got you covered!

The sun in Bali can be really strong. To protect your skin, I can give you a stylish surfshirt and some sun cream for your face.
I am excited about teaching and dedicated to you to provide the best surf experience ever!

Everyday the waves and the tide are different. The day before I check out the forecast, and after that I decide, what time is the best time for you to surf and we will together agree on a convenient time. You will have a lot of fun.     I had my very first surf lesson ever with Curly! First thing, don't try to pick your own time - it's best to keep flexible and listen to what Curly suggests as the best time based on your surfing level. It'll make a huge difference! I didn't expect to be a pro after my first lesson but I was able to stand up on my first wave (and the subsequent waves after that). Curly was very encouraging and I would not hesitate to recommend him!

    This is my first and best surf lesson in my life, luckily to have the best and funniest surf instructor Curly to teach me how to surf like a pro! It is very easy to surf and I have so much fun, the instructions is clear and easy to remember, I can even stand up on the surfboard in my very first time, Highly recommend the funniest private instructor Curly. I will see you again when I backed! 😊 Surfing is fun!! 🏄‍♀️

    We take lesson with Curly in Canggu. It was an amazing experience. Curly give us good advice, help us, and support us in the water every time. He is also very fun and kind so you can be confident he will do his best to help you to improve your skills. My friend and I had so much fun in the water with Curly and his friends. Initially we went for 1 lesson but finally take two (epic session in the sunset for the last one one Canggu beach) I have tried lesson before in France, but Curly permit me to improve my skills much faster. He’s always watching, laughing & give good energy. It was a pleasure. For sure if we came back we will surf with him again !

    Coaching is not an easy task but Curly is a pro at it. While he is always smiling, joking and having a good time he is also very knowledgeable and is the perfect coach for any skill level. As someone who wanted to be pushed but also stay within my capabilities, I felt Curly did an amazing job of satisfying all my needs while also teaching me lasting lessons. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their surfing and to have a fun time while doing it!

    My lesson with Curly was soo good! He helped me so much finding my common mistakes and how I can fix them. I felt safe with him all the time in the ocean and he picked out only the best waves for me :) I never experienced such a chill but also professional atmosphere with a teacher, and he really helps you pushing yourself to achieve your goals. I would really recommend you to book your next private surf lesson with Curly, I promise you you will have so much fun learning the best sport ever!
