Chinese paper cutting (jiǎnzhǐ) is the earliest form of paper craft.And nowadays it is still very popular. Since the invention of paper by the Chinese in 105 AD, it has been used for this traditional decorative folk art.
Cut-paper designs are commonly posted on windows and doors all around China and are sometimes also called “chuāng huā”, meaning “window flower”. Many of the designs are unbelievably intricate and wonderful!
