Inspiring Tours in 100% recommendable!!! We were three friends travelling to Sicily in November to cycle from Palermo to Agrigento. Luckily we come across Inspiring Tours in Palermo. They rented us three brand-new gravel bikes in perfect conditions and borrowed us all the necessary equipment (pump, tubes, lights, bottles). They also took care of our luggage every stage and transported it to the accommodation we have booked in advance. Finally they picked the bikes back in Agrigento. On top, of that they gave us interesting remarks for the route. Sicily is a great place to cycle, there are many side roads with almost no traffic and the landscape and food is great.
While visiting Sicily for a wedding, my cousin and I were able to rent two very new, well-kept, comfortable road bikes for cycling from the Palermo area to Trapani. The service was perfect. Danuta + Giovanni provided everything we requested (helmets, proper pedals, correctly sized/fit bicycles). They delivered the bicycles to us and picked the bicycles up at our hotel outside of Trapani. Everything worked out perfectly. The bicycles functioned perfectly. The scenery along the coast between Palermo and Trapani was amazing. There were some relatively challenging climbs that provided beautiful vistas of the sea at the top. We stopped along the road and bought some fruit, beer, mortadella...we saw grapes and olives growing. And then, we experienced some fun descents as we went back down to the coast to end at a beach in Trapani. A really wonderful experience. I will use this same service on future trips to Sicily. Very good business and nice people.
Myself and my girlfriend rented two bikes for 10 days while on holidays on Sicily. While I was a small bit hesitant before booking, I shouldn’t have been as Danuta was extremely helpful from the beginning until our last day. The hybrid bikes we rented were fantastic and during our 10 day trip, we did not have any issues at all, not even a puncture. The bikes are also very durable and could handle even the toughest roads and trails in Sicily. Even if we were to get into difficulty, Danuta had provided contact details for assistance during our trip. Everything we needed was provided for including a helmet, repair kit and panniers for the bike. I could not recommend Ciclabili Siciliane/Sicily Cycling highly enough to anyone to is interested in cycling tours of Sicily or who just wants to rent a bike for a few days.
We made an amazing bicycle-tour from Catania via Adrano, Nicosia, Petralia Sottana, Parco delle Madonie to Cefalu and from there via Piana degli Albanesi to Palermon. We rented two touring-bikes from Sicily Cycling, which were delivered to Catania. Even if we did not get exactly the type of bikes we had ordered from the homepage, the bikes were in very good condition, almost new, comfortable and we never had any problems with them. The bikes had been delivered directly to the hostel and the mechanic helped us to adjust the bikes and make them ready. It was also very uncomplicated to return them in Palermo. Before renting the bikes we were a bit unsure how it works with the payment, but in the end we simply payed by credit card directly when the bikes were delivered. Alltogether communication was good and the rental simple. The landscape, the people and the food were great! The only drawback of cycling in Sicily are sometimes dogs running free, garbage along the streets and the car-traffic in towns and cities. However the Siciliani are generally respectful car-drivers and we got used very quickly to the different way of behavior on the streets. Altogether the cycling tour was a great experience, which I would recommend anyone who likes to cycle in hilly to montaneous landscapes. Many thanks to Danuta and her Team!
