Discover the ancient Sicilian art of pottery manufacturing. Enter a studio in the heart of Catania and discover all the secrets behind this fascinating art. From the ground to the object creation, this famous pottery lab is full of artisans who have a lot of knowledge to share with curious travelers.
Start with a historic introduction about pottery craftmanship: learn about the origins of the laboratory, discover the roots of ceramic manufacturing in Sicily and all over the world. Let you be guided by an expert artisan during your journey through the magical pottery universe. Discover all the steps of production before improving your artistic skills on ceramic.
Work on the lathe under the guide of an artisan and model your piece of ceramic, creating your own masterpiece. You will also discover more tips about ceramic. Then, decorate your own handwork learning from an expert designer.
Once the work is completed, your own ceramic objects will be cooked in the special oven (48 hours of cooking) and if you desire, your handcraft will be sent to you (shipping expenses to be paid separately. Enjoy a tour of the ceramic shop and bring with you a souvenir for your friends and family.

Oh my, where do I start, I have wanted to try Pottery for as long as I can remember, finally for my 30th Birthday my husband and I booked this experience. Believe me when I say that it is well worth every penny. It is such a personal experience, the teachers are very helpful and just lovely people. The day was filled with laughing and great vibes ! The workshop is just incredible, being able to watch the very talented artists create in the same space you learn. It is not just a class, you sit in the teachers chair where they create. Painting the tiles was a pleasant surprise, it is alot harder than I expected! My husband got the hang of it very quickly! They were very impressed ! I am so soo grateful for this experience and recommend it to anyone who visits Catania. If I ever visit Catania again I will come visit/book another class. Thank you, thank you for making my birthday special ♡

We loved learning about the process and taking part in it both by making our own clay vessels as well as painting! We get to keep all of the things we made and Giovanni was an amazing teacher and friend!

Amazing! Worth the trip. I just took my daughter and with it being the two of it it was a laid back experience. It was so neat to see their process and learn more about pottery. Both myself and my daughter(age7) have used a pottery wheel before which I think helped smooth things along. The staff was welcoming and helpful. 100% recommend for a small group (under 3 people). It is in their working factory and it can cause disruptions with a large group. Especially I the smaller spaces and risk of breaking.

My wife and I traveled with two other couples. This tour exceeded all of our expectations. The artisans were very patient and spent a lot of time with each of us as we tried our hand at working with the clay and painting our personal tile souvenir. There was always one or two of the staff to help translate our questions and to explain what the very talented artisans were saying and doing. Of course you could peruse their completed works and buy something but there was no high pressure to do that. This is a family enterprise and everyone made you feel comfortable and welcomed. If you're looking for something different to do during your visit to Sicily, especially if you're going to be in or near Catania, I highly recommend this tour.

Jest to jedno z najlepszych wspomnień z Katanii. Byłam z mężem i poznaliśmy tam cudownych ludzi. Miejsce jest niepowtarzalne. Piękna manufaktura, pełna cudownych rękodzieł. Mieliśmy okazję pracować z Giovannim i Katią. Giovanni pokazał nam jak pracować z gliną na kole i trzeba podkreślić, że był przy tym baaaardzo cierpliwy. Katia pokazała nam za to, jak malować na ceramice. Przed pójściem tam, warto mieć na uwadze, że można się pobrudzić, co dla nas nie było żadnym problemem. Dostaliśmy również fartuchy, które w naszym przypadku ochroniły nas całkowicie 😊 Jeżeli jest w Was dusza artysty, to to miejsce jest obowiązkowe na liście. Dziękujemy bardzo. Jeżeli będzie okazja, na pewno wrócimy! 🥰
