Avoid Metin tour and Avoid booking via La Vacanza Travel as they seem to not take languague into consideration when transferring clients We categorically choosed English as our preferred languague but got a Bus filled with Polish people (24 Poles and 2 of Us). That in itself is not a problem if the tour guide speaks both languagues (Polish and English) as it is done in most tours. The main tour guide refused to speak to English throughout the tour and when the assistant tour guide tried to speak in English the main Tour guide refused to give her the Microphone stating it will disturb the Polish guest. When she tried to explain to us close to out seats..the polish guest seating close stood up and left and these people were young people who understood english as I saw them speaking english to the assistant Tour guide..At this point we told her not to worry..she did her best and we just wanted to get back to our Hotel. I have never seen or heard anything like this. The assistant tour guide tried but could not get the main Tour guide to change his mind. I even tried to speak with the Tour guide but he told me he cannot disturb 24 persons with English. For 4 hours we listened to explanation in a langaugue we did not understand. At some point we had to use the headset. This tour is the most useless tour that I ve been in my whole life.

During this tour you’ll see a modern built mosque (ca. 2013), ruins of Apollo and Demetra temples, ruins of ancient Side and a 15,000 seat amphitheater in Side (not included, buy your own tickets), Side museum (not included), Roman aqueduct and ruins of Aspendos, a large city at its time. Aspendos has an amphitheater of its own, seating 20,000 according to the guide. I like the one at Side more because it looks more authentic: either it was more expertly restored, or was better preserved. Restoration at Aspendos is very noticeable. Lunch is served relatively late, around 2pm, at a restaurant overlooking a river with a view at Aspendos basilica. Simple yet tasty fare. Overall, this is a great tour. There is enough of free time to see the ruins at Side or shop for ‘designer’ clothes (well, someone designed those items inspired by major brands, right? :). You’ll hardly have time for both, so choose ruins - they are timeless.

This is our second visit to Side, the Antiquities are amazing,they are everywhere.The Temple of Men, is overwhelming, well worth looking at.

Overall an excellent trip from hotel pickup to drop off. The timings were good. The guide, Yaseen, gives a good account of all the important historical facts. Marvelous experience to walk around and sit on the benches of aspendos theatre. Really nice and refreshing experience at kursunlu waterfall.

I really like this tour and how it is not too long like some others in the area. You visit a beautiful protected park area that contains the waterfall, then the Roman ruins with incredible views at the top of the hill and then Side which has the history but is also a busy town so it is a lovely varied day.
