The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound. Completed in 1965, the mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent nation.

So this trip was organised for my in-laws that my wife booked. From booking with ease, with clear precise instructions and finally to my in-laws enjoying the whole amazing trip. A 10/10 tour experience! My in-laws enjoyed every bit of it from what they've told us. I want to thank our tour guide, Aulia. Who did an incredible job through out the journey. It was just the in-laws and the tour guide. So she was able to give me updates of their trips and making sure everything was going smoothly. She really did an awesome job. I highly recommend for people to try this tour guide.

I would not recommend booking and paying for this tour in advance, because it is non refundable. My wife came down with a bad cough the day before the tour was due. Did not want to be coughing on the bus filled with other passengers. Also was not sure if it would have been a problem on the health declaration form on re-entering Singapore. I contacted La Vacanza Travel and the guide for the tour to explain the health issue, and that we would not make the tour. We paid +US700, and was not refunded even a fraction or something symbolic. I would recommend never pay for a non-refundable tour. No consideration given.

This tour was great. I did the non private tour. Its a long day that starts with a bus ride to Kuala Lumpur. You have breakfast buffet at a hotel once you arrive. From there, a driver picks you and your guide up and takes you to Batu Caves, several monuments, and religious temples, KL tower (you don't go up) and finally Petronas Towers where you go to the bridge and the top. From there you return to the hotel and wait for the bus to bring you back to Singapore. There were times were there was a few hours of “downtime” while waiting for the next thing to happen that I think could be filled in a bit better to maximize the exposure to KL. Fir example, we went to the mall below Petronas Towers for 1.5 hours while waiting for the time to go up. Im not a mall guy so that was tough. Tour guide was really nice and friendly.
