After you meet your local guide in front of The Presidency, your afternoon urban adventure will begin with a visit to Sofia's hidden gem - St. George Rotonda Church. Take a glimpse inside the temple which represents the oldest still functioning Christian monument in Europe, where your guide, who is an art historian, will explain in detail the meaning and symbolism behind the unique wall frescoes.
Enriching your knowledge further on the history of Sofia, we will travel back in time, passing through Roman ruins and Byzantine settlements.
We continue our tour, stopping at major landmarks such as St. Aleksander Nevski’s Cathedral and The National Theatre.
