I ended up being the only person on the tour, so it was highly personalized. The driver was great and knowledgeable, also serving as my guide. It's a long drive, followed by four primary sights and lunch in the city center. Then we returned to Sofia.

The sites were generally historically unrelated to each other, and we generally had to drive from one to the next, so one should have the expectations of a walking tour of more cohesive sites. So that made this different than some of the other day trip tours I took on this trip.

The only disappointment was that we saw the Mediana archaeological site from the road. It's undergoing development and thus isn't open for general visitors yet, so there wasn't really another way to handle it. An actual visit of the site will be a nice addition to the tour someday.

The guide was on time. He was polite and friendly. He showed us the sights agreed upon. He brought us to the location of Medjiana but we were not able to actually explore it due to the fact that it is no longer open to the public. I was aware of this prior to the tour but was hopeful I would be able to see something. He was informative.
