Overview

This is a magical adventure into the largest National Park in Bulgaria. The Seven Rila Lakes district is one of the most popular attractions in Bulgaria. During the walk we will enjoy magnificent panoramas and the stunning lakes start to appear one after another. Our goal is to reach the Lakes peak from where we could enjoy all 7 glacial lakes in a clear day – it is a wonderful 360 ⁰ panorama. On the way back we could stop at one of the mountain huts for optional lunch or just to relax and have a drink before catching the lift down. Later we will stop at the most famous Bulgarian SPA resort – Sapareva Banya. It is the hottest geothermal resort and the only geyser in the country. After the long day hiking we deserve a chill out in the hot mineral springs. During the winter season special equipment needed (snowshoes and hiking poles). We provide the equipment if necessary. (not included into the price).

Note: Winter option on snow shoes, we only hike to Kidney lake (lake no.5).

Hot Springs in Sapareva Banya - a famous SPA resort and the only geyser in Bulgaria.

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Great way to start the year . Dobrins terrain expertise made the snow hike a piece of cake. The views of the mountains and frozen lakes were spectacular, the equipment provided was good. Can’t wait to go back and give it another try :-) Highly recommend this trip with Dobrin

We loved the snow trekking to one of the most beautiful places in the Balkans. This route is absolutely outstanding and our guide Dobrin was superb. He went out of his way to keep us all feeling good, safe and showed us spectacular sites. A dream trip we will never forget.

We booked a couple trip for me and my wife and it was the most wonderful trip we did Dobrin, the guide, picked us up from the hotel in Sofia to the place of the trip and took care of all our needs The trip was amazing in its beauty, we felt like in a fairy tale Dobrin was very nice and explained to us a lot of things along the way and was attentive to what we want so that the trip would be just right for us After the hike on the mountain he took us to a lovely water park with spring water In conclusion it was a lovely and recommended trip

I and my friends who were visiting from Amsterdam decided to book one day trip to Rila Lakes and Rila Monastery with Dobrin. He picked us up from our Airbnb in Sofia early in the morning and within 1.5hr we reached Rila Lakes. Dobrin is an excellent driver, very careful, and also took all our needs into consideration. He is also very knowledgable and provided us with a lot of nice and interesting facts about the lakes and the monastery. He did the entire tour in English which was also very much appreciated. If you are looking for someone who is nice, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, with a good command of English and a great driver, Dobrin is the right person for you. I strongly recommend him.
