This was a truly amazing experience start to finish. Communication was always open and they were always quick to respond. I asked for a special cake and decorations to celebrate a birthday while on board and they surpassed all expectations. We were greeted on time, accompanied onto the boat and introduced to our crew for the day. On board we found welcome gifts including lollipops(which helped with some of our seasick friends), custom bracelets and custom towels which were not for taking but added a nice touch. We enjoyed a beautiful cruise to the island, anchored right by the Faraglioni and went swimming. During this time we had some snacks and beverages were available the entire trip in abundance. I booked a couple of months in advance and had no issues at all. I think with the correct communication leading up to your trip, they are willing to accommodate most anything. As they describe, it can be customized to your interests, as long as you express what they are. We will definitely be booking again as we had an extremely memorable experience. Thank you!

We just returned from our Greek Cruise and feel extremely disappointed. The main reason I wanted to go on this vacation was specifically to see the Blue Grotto/Capri, which is why I booked this excursion MONTHS out. I knew how crowded Capri would be during the month of July. I was in communication with this company prior to our trip, asking specific questions pertaining to tickets, pick up time, how far the marina was from the cruise port etc. We were told in our chats roughly 15 minutes and we would be picked up at the cruise port. The night prior to our excursion, we received a message indicating it would be an additional cost of 300 Euros for them to arrange a driver to pick us up. It says NO WHERE in La Vacanza Travel/trip advisor on "what is covered and what is not covered" that there is an additional cost of travel to the port (also mind you, they will not take a credit card for this, cash only) for them to get you for the excursion. This should be clearly labeled in the excursion description, as 300 euros is a large additional expense to incur and to especially be informed of it within 13 hours of our excursion. I have done a lot of excursions over the years, and I can not recall once that after a price was billed to my credit card, that additional monies were owed for transport (most excursions include this in the rate). Had we had known this prior, we would have probably still booked it, but the last minute notice felt like we were being taken advantage of. Here is where it gets very shady in our opinion. Within one hour of speaking to Marina Yacht Charters and finding this information out (that we simply questioned, did not even say we would not pay it, but wanted to see if a cab service was cheaper that could accept a credit card because 300 euros seemed very pricey for transport (when we were initially told it's a 15 minute ride in my previous emails). Within an hour of this conversation, we received another message indicating it was the captain and he was cancelling the excursion due to "weather conditions". I want to say I completely understand that safety comes first, I am a sailor myself and would not want to go out in choppy water and risk the lives of anybody. However, the weather conditions were just perfect that day for where we were going. We spoke to multiple people that did similar excursions on private boats (same size, not bigger) that said the water was just fine and after our research as well, the wind was low and sea conditions were favorable. In retrospect, what we think happened is this company basically got a better offer from somebody else (the price has since gone up almost $1000 for the same excursion we booked months ago) and decided to cancel on us (at 9:00 the night before) and go with somebody else. The fact we questioned the last minute additional 300 Euro for transport (that should have been mentioned prior or in the description) was enough to cancel on us. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed. The captain made other suggestions on what to do instead, but they were unrealistic as all the ferries were sold out for a group our size. We scrambled the next morning trying to find anything that could take us over to Capri and were out of luck, actually got laughed at by tour companies saying this stuff books up way in advance (as we knew). So long story short, after reading another review posted right before my review today of the same situation happening to them, I do not believe this company whatsoever. Why not even mention to us in our communication the hour before that they were keeping an eye on weather etc. and might need to cancel it...came out of no where and right after we asked about the additional cost. I'm sure the response I will receive after this posting is similar to the response that was posted to the last unfortunate party that they did the same thing to that it was about safety But yes, I completely think it's fair to review an experience we technically did not do because I don't believe for a second that this was cancelled due to the weather. Shady shady shady and would not want this to happen to another future party. We were left walking the streets of Naples and it was the worst day of our trip. Shame on you for prioritizing money over commitment and blaming it on the sea conditions. Hopefully this review will give others pause on going with this company and to choose another more reliable one.

Very disappointed. Waited 4 years to come to Capri with the charter booked months ahead only to be cancelled with less than 24hours notice

The staff was exceptional. Could not have asked for any better!! Very helpful, friendly, personable and knowledgeable. The boat was fairly comfortable. Not a lot of sitting areas besides the coolers and laying on the bow or stern area. But it was still very comfortable for 9 of us. The amenities for the day were very nice- snacks, drinks, towels, chargers for phones, bathrooms etc. I think the only disappointment would be us not understanding the exact implications of the tour. It’s definitely not a tour of the Isle of Capri. It is a boat tour TO the isle. We were able to get off the boat to have lunch. The restaurant was wonderful, would not have asked for any better. Then there was an opportunity for the kids to swim off the boat. That was fun. But we did not actually see the Isle of Capri except for from the water and the restaurant. That being said we still had a wonderful day because we loved being on the water, enjoying the views. Lots of down time. And the staff were like family. Would recommend this tour for anyone who loves being on the water and boating.

We had an absolute blast on this excursion. We were a large group (13 total) and wanted something private for our group. As well, since we were coming off a cruise for the day, we had to make sure we got the most out of our experience. Valerio and Matilde were absolutely phenomenal. Not only did they arrange a transfer for us from our port to their boat, but they also let us adapt the day to suit our needs as we knew we wanted to stop at Capri. They provided snacks and drinks, and our time on the boat was so much fun. There was a lot of dancing and memories made on that day. If you are looking to book a boat tour around Capri, then I 100% recommend them. You won't be disappointed!
