Overview

The transparent kayak tours of Chasing Syrens take you into some of the most beautiful locations of this area of the Amalfi Coast. The tours depart from the picturesque beach locality of Marina del Cantone (Massa Lubrense) near Sorrento.  These tours are exclusive to this area and will enable you not only to admire the stunning coastline, but to experience an adventure of 360 degrees in the Natural Marine Reserve of Punta Campanella including visits to hidden coves and caves, snorkeling in crystal clear water with the possibility of seeing many different kinds of fish, free time for swimming and relaxing. The highlight is the tour to the Bay of Jeranto.

Each customer will be provided with dry bags and life jackets.

  • Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
  • The tours depart from the beach of Marina del Cantone (Nerano) which is 20 km from Sorrento, 26 km from Positano and 9 km from Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. There is a bus service (SITA) from Sorrento to Marina del Cantone (45 minutes approx). By car it takes 30 minutes.
  • Each double kayak, due to their characteristics, can carry maximum 180 kilos. We can supply normal kayaks if you have concerns about your weight/size but please let us know latest the day before the tour.
  • Travelers should have a strong physical fitness level
  • Not recommended for the less agile or overweight (max total weight per transparent kayak is 180 kilos).
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 9 travelers
  • Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability

A great experience in Nerano. We had so much fun kayaking and swimming. Luca was an amazing guide with a passion for the outdoors and a zest for life. He shared great stories and took us to some truly beautiful locations. If you find yourself near Marina del Cantone you must give this experience a try.

Great Experience! Luca was an excellent guide and added tales of the history of the area to enhance the tour. Beautiful waters to kayak snorkel and swim in and a relaxed pace! No hurry/no worry! Plenty of room in the Kayak for snorkeling gear. Bring a water bottle and maybe snacks. There’s places to eat and drink near the starting place and the SITA Bus Stops right there. Would do the trip again!

Exploring small caves with our amazing guide Luca. Seeing places only accessible by kayak. No need to see the blue grotto when you can kayak to a smaller grotto with the same beautiful light reflecting in the waters without crowds.

Luca was an amazing guide and spoke very good English! Showed us some incredible sights and was a fantastic guide. He always kept safety as a top priority. I have been to southern Italy in past years but nothing compared to 3.5 hour clear kayak experience- you get to swim in a gorgeous little cove, visit a tiny church way up on the rocks and wowza…… we went into a cave! You can skip the touristy “blue grotto” and BOOK THIS! It’s so much better!
