Passing through the passport control I was a little anxious that it will take more time than expected as there were lines. It appeared to take only about 20 minutes so I was in the terminal earlier than the tour starting time. Our lovely guide Polina was already waiting and kindly explained we had to wait for the other group members.
The tour took off at approximately 9:10 am when everyone was ready. The group was sized 14 people. The driver, Alexey, and Polina took us to the city center. There were some excellent picture opportunities and thanks god the weather was cloudless at this time.
The first visit of the day was the Hermitage. I was totally impressed with Polina's knowledge and the skill of orientation in the hundreds of corridors, halls and rooms. During our lunch time there was an opportunity to do a little shopping. We visited the Savior on the Spilled Blood which was truly magical. The boat trip on the canal was a wonderful way to end up the first day with.
On the second day, we traveled out of the city. Both places we visited were exceptionally remarkable. I do not have enough words to describe how much I enjoyed discovering these summer parks and gardens and learning about the history and the arts from our guide Polina.
Thank you so much for organizing this outstanding tour for us. It was our favorite city to visit this summer.

We had a wonderful time in Russia thanks to City Break Tours. As an experienced traveler I'm always taking small-group tours for me and my husband. We believe touring in a small group is the best way to discover the city in an easy way. Alexandra was our guide and she took care of us during those 2 days. She was following the schedule of the day and we had enough time to enjoy each stop on the way without feeling rushed. Alexandra was very friendly and personable. She always tried to understand what is interesting for us to adjust her pace and speech.
We really got to skip the long lines to the museums as guide led us to the special entrance at the designated times. The Hermitage, Peterhof and the Faberge museum were simply stunning.
There was a canal cruise, an amazing relaxing experience after a full day of sightseeing. I have to mention the lunches, against my expectations they were delicious and varied on both days. On top of that, I would like to say our driver was excellent too.
If I had to go back in time and spend those 2 days in Russia again, I would not have changed a thing. It was marvelous!

Loved this tour!!!! Amazing architecture and stunning palaces, museums, churches... I knew St Petersburg was a beautiful city but never imagined it to be gorgeous on this level. Thanks to our guide Olga we discovered the city inside and out... it would be impossible without someone as experienced and knowledgeable as her. I was pleasantly surprised by Olga's excellent English language as well. The bus was spotlessly clean and the driver, Kirill, was very welcoming. I felt it’s one-in-a-lifetime adventure and wished to stay in Saint Petersburg longer.
The visa free waivers and all arrangements by the tour agency were handled without any problem. I wouldn’t hesitate to book any tour from this company as the quality was on top of my expectations.

We had 2 wonderful days with City Break Tours and our tour leader Marina. She arranged all the logistics perfectly giving us a chance to see as much as possible yet without any hurry. I must say St Petersburg is a popular touristic city and it was busy in some museums, especially the Hermitage. Marina navigated our group as a professional and pointed our attention at the most worthy pieces of art. Marina told us that if we had visited St Catherine Palace, it would have been twice busier than the Hermitage and we would have been pushed by the crowds. It was hard to imagine a busier place at that moment but we believed our guide and were happy the tour organizers swapped St Catherine Palace for the Pavlovky Palace which was barely crowded at all. The tour itself was an excellent experience and I wouldn't wish to see St Petersburg in any other way.
