While on the tour you will see the cream of the collection: Italian Renaissance art, Spanish Golden Age, Flemish art, etc.

Stop At: Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Griboyedova Kanala Emb., 2B/A, St. Petersburg 191186 Russia
The Church of the Resurrection, more commonly known as the Church on Spilt Blood, commemorates the Russian peacemaker Alexander II. Although he abolished serfdom he was hated by the revolutionaries, who formed different terrorist organizations with the aim of killing the ruler. Inside, the church looks fascinating, 7 000 square meters of mosaics cover the walls. They are made of melted glass and this technique looks simply spectacular and dazzling!

The interiors are decorated in different styles and have preserved not only the Gala interiors, but also the living quarters where the owners of the palace slept, ate, put on makeup and got dressed. The palace was a witness of one of the most mysterious events that ever happened in Saint Petersburg - the murder of Rasputin. Now you can see wax figures of the associates and Rasputin himself depicting the grisly murder and speculating about the secrets the palace still keeps.

Our group of 10 was the perfect size. The guide spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. She was considerate of everyone's needs and paced the tour so that everyone was able to participate but had enough time to experience the sights. The Hermitage Museum, Catherine Palace, Church of the Spilled Blood, St. Isaac, the cruise, the subway, the city of St. Petersburg all came alive to us by the history and information provided. Thank you, MaxiBalt Tours for a fantastic 2 day St. Petersburg tour!

This was a fantastic 2 day tour with very efficient( Maxibalt lady tour guide who I am very sorry to say I have forgotten her name. She was able to take us to so many sights in those 2 days with some sights being visitor free due to her strategy of knowing when sights would be more visitor friendly without all the crowds. WE had a small group of 13 6 couples and my self.. The tour was more than I could have wished for as the church of spilled blood, metro stations were my high lites.
Thank you Maxibalt Tour lady - Beryl from NZ

We were in St Petersburg for only 2 days and our tour guide Veronika made sure we saw as much of it as we could. She is an exceptional tour guide, extremely knowledgeable, and a wizard at what she does, somehow getting us into the different palaces, cathedrals, and museums quickly and without ever having to wait in line. She even took us for a ride on the Russian metro, which was weird in and of itself, but impressive and exhilarating at the same time. We can't say enough about her. She made our first trip to Russia one we will remember for a long time.
