Organic and biodynamic wines are produced without the use of chemicals or additives (except for minimum amounts of vital copper in the vineyard and sulfur dioxide in the cellar). Both types of certification take wineries years and are extremely strict in their requirements.

Growing raisins and making wine according to these principles requires complete dedication and more effort and time in the vineyards than conventional wines using chemicals, herbicides and pesticides.
