Stroll along the western side of the busy transport hub to the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and The Rocks, where the British colony began in 1788. On the other side of the quay, explore Sydney’s dark past at the Justice and Police Museum housed in a former colonial court and police station.

The Taronga Zoo was outstanding! We saw lots of animals and the zoo is laid out so that there are lots of trees to provide shade. We continued our trip by taking the ferry to Manly, which had lots of shops and nice places for lunch.

Very good, although picked Easter weekend so zoo and ferry was heaving so couldn't get too see many if the animals due to crowds. Also came in through lower zoo entrance and did not receive a map.if the zoo.
