Monte Etna is a big volcano. You will see Etna slopes, lava flows and a natural cave. It is possible to do a medium hiking and see some of the side craters. No ascent to the top.

We really enjoyed our guide, Alessandro. He was very knowledgeable, polite , and attentive. This tour is advertised as full day, but it’s not. We left at 830 , and ended at 215. He covered everything, so it shouldn’t be posted as a full day tour, time wise.

Awesome experience to be able to see Mt Etna through a combination of a drive in a 4-wheel SUV and some light hiking. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Our driver was great as well. We had the opportunity to see past lava flows on the sides of Mt Etna, and the views were amazing. Lunch was included at a great restaurant on the mountain. We would highly recommend this tour, which included a pick up and drop off right at our hotel in Taormina.

This is a great way to experience Mt Etna with a knowledgeable guide. We learned enough history and geology from Giacomo to give context to the tour, and we safely explored lava flows and a tunnel. The walk up the 1865 lava flow was well worth it for spectacular views. Lunch was tasty and we enjoyed the company of our fellow tourists. It’s a bit chilly up as you ascend, so bring a jacket!
