Overview

Get close and personal with Sicily’s most famous volcano on this six-hour, small-group tour. Set off from Taormina — hotel pickups and drop-offs in the vicinity are included upon request — and arrive at Mount Etna, where you’ll spend the day walking through craters, exploring a lava cave, and learning about the volcano’s past eruptions at max. 2000 meters of altitude. Afterwards, you will be provided with a snack, complemented by wine, a little dessert and a sweet wine taste.

What a fantastic excursion! The highlight of my holiday in Toarmina. Our hostess recommended Etna People to us. And from the moment we walked into their office we felt that this was the right place for us. Genuine pleasant human contact. Not like many other providers in the area who loudly impose their sales tactics just to make money. Etna people services felt instantly good. We got the less touristy route. This allowed us to lose ourselves more in the beauty of nature. I personally found the hike, which was described as mild, tough because my physical health was less than the other participants. But fortunately, every time when I had to catch my breath, the guide took a short break and told us about the environment we were in. It was worth the effort. I feel proud I did it! Because I enjoyed this unreal, unusual beauty of nature environment. The composition of the group was small. And that makes it nice to keep up. In addition, I found the stopover/ final stop of the excursion to be a treat for the eyes! Beautiful vineyards where we enjoyed lunch, a chat with our fellow walkers and delicious wine! The facilities were also modern and clean. Something I always really appreciate on holiday. Finally, Giuseppe was our guide. I highly recommend him for his passion and knowledge of the region. I am a great lover of nature. And he is very experienced. Because he grew up near Etna and still lives there, you know you'll get all the ins and outs about the effects Etna can have on the local population.

The guide was excellent and made the trip very enjoyable. Chose this trip because only small group. The lunch with wine was good. All went very smoothly and Would recommend this company.

We were a group of four so benefitted from a very personal experience. Nic, our guide , took good care of us, we felt comfortable and safe at all times. We trekked around 5k through beautiful wooded areas, to a twin caldera. We also witnessed Etna puffing out smoke rings and learned about the volcanic activity in this region. The tour also included a trip to a lava cave and a stop for a sandwich and glass of local wine. A top morning, thanks to Etna People.
