When I booked this excursion I didn't realize it was a private tour, and I was pleasantly surprised! I don't know if we got lucky or if it was supposed to be a private tour, but either way we lucked out.

We were picked up at our hotel very early 5:30am and taken to the sunrise spot. Unfortunately it was foggy and we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us, but we enjoyed a really nice breakfast prepared by one of the guides. It was chilly, so definitely be sure to pack long pants and light jacket for the sunrise part! We then went on to the waterfalls where we met a local who took us on a hike to the spot. It was quite the hike, lots of steps and it was warm. You must be in decent physical shape to get to the waterfalls. There was an incredible view of the rice fields along the way. We opted not to go down in to the rice fields would have had to gone back down the huge stairs! but it was nice to have the option. We then traveled to the lunch destination, the food for lunch was good, I wouldn't call it great but it was a nice buffet with a phenomenal view of Mt. Batur.

Our guide spoke great English and helped translate to the other people we encountered. We stopped at a local fruit stand along the way to test out some native fruits, which we loved. We wanted the more local experience and we definitely got it with this tour. I would recommend this tour to people who are active and who are seeking a little adventure in Bali. Thank you for a wonderful day!

The tour and guides and driver were amazing and thoughtful!! It was very physically challenging coming back up the stairs so be prepared. It was awesome to swim in waterfall and then they have a fresh coconut water at end to replenish electrolytes which was perfect. Perfect day.

This was an excellent trip and the guides we had were super helpful and responsive.

I will say that this is not for the faint of heart as the additional info will tell you. You cross rapids, you scale mountains and you walk narrow paths next to fairly steep drops.

However this is my favorite tour from our trip out of the 4 tours we did. There is nothing quite unlike drinking from an actual coconut picked from a tree minutes prior.

Amazing TRIP

It should not be missed.

BUT there is an important note:
OLD people or little kids may be its not recommended for them as you will walk a LOT and go down through very risky and scary stairs which is not well maintained also going back you have to go back through the same stairs which needs a huge power and healthy people.

So be careful.

Other than that it was the best trip out of our 8 chosen tours and the tour guide lady was very great.

This was Bali/Indonesia for me, just stunning!
Loved the fresh coconut and banana at rice fields. Loved the views and walk in the rice fields.
Loved the waterfalls.
Loved the sunrise/views at Kintamani.

This was planned to perfection several resources were being used to execute this..
- Lise was super kind and pleasant as the english speaking guide.
- Driver.. took care of breakfast the banana
- Local guide who also carried stuff/snacks, helped in difficult parts of climb and water crossings
- facilities at the starting point/rice fields for change of clothes etc.
- local rice field guy who brought the coconuts

very professional..

Tips: Have a separate pair of shoes/sandals suitable for water crossings / walking on slippery stones in the water while getting to waterfalls..
