What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Nusa Penida is part of Bali Island and very famous with its beautiful beach and marine life. Guests will be picked up at their accommodation’s lobby in the morning and driven to Sanur, where the boat will depart to Penida Island. Arrive at Sanur, guests will be briefed about safety aboard the boat. When everyone is ready, we will then depart to Nusa Penida and will arrive in approximately 45 minutes. It is located 23 miles to the southeast of Bali across the Badung Strait, so please be ready to explore another paradise island. At Nusa Penida you will do the snorkeling activity at 4 different points, they are: Wall Bay, Manta bay,Giant Trevally (GT) Point, Crystal Bay, snorkeling equipment includes. This will be a great chance to see some different marine life in Bali since you will snorkel at some different spots for sure with its own different point of views. A great lunch after enjoying all the snorkeling spots will be provided. After done all of your activities at Nusa Penida, please be at the boat at 1.45pm. Guests will be transferred back to Sanur and drop off to their original pickup point.

Not a good choice for seeing mantas. Turns out they are active morning and evening. We were taken to mantas point in the middle of the day. Too short time snorkeling. Long transportation time. Lunch was awful, would be better not to offer free lunch. Driver and all staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Balinese are so kind and considerate. The water was clear and we saw a lot of different species. Lunch was nice and plenty of water on offer.

We had an amazing time. The snorkeling was great and we saw so many turtles. All in all great day. Food was good too

Great overall. Ferry infrastructure was not great as there was no pier for boarding. Had to brave the waves to get on board a moving boat which is somewhat risky. Ferry was also cramp. However, these are not issues under the control of the tour agent. Saw construction activity for the piers but I think they will take 2 years to be ready. There was a last minute change in pick up timing from 630am to 930am. The tour agent called the night before and explained that conditions will be better for afternoon snorkelling which was sound advice because (1) way less crowded in the afternoon and (2) more importantly, we listened to the agent's advice on the tides and conditions for snorkelling. Manta will only come when the sea conditions are ideal. We had the amazing opportunity to swim very close to around 10 Mantas at Manta Bay. Private snorkelling and the boat reserved for my family was good. The local guide and the boatman we had at Nusa Penida were very good and friendly. The only qualm I had was the driver who picked us up from the pier for the return back to our hotel. He was coughing consistently and during this post pandemic period, I guess everyone will not appreciate being stuck in a car with a driver coughing throughout the whole 45 mins ride. We used several other drivers during this Bali trip and this was the worst experience we had.
