Overview

In my nearly eight years of leading photography tours, helping to guide documentary crews, and four years of running the highest rated cultural tour in Varanasi, I have helped countless travelers and professionals explore and document the unique and mystical culture in our beautiful city.

Every part of the tour can be tailored to your interests. If you wish, we can take out a boat for sunrise to capture the ghat or walk through the markets, and if you get hungry I can lead you to restaurants or street food that is safe to eat for travelers.

With me, you will see a side of the city that is not usually available to travelers such as the Aghori Sadhus, traditional wrestling, and cremation ceremonies. These ceremonies are at the heart of spirituality in our city, and with my tour you will be welcomed by the local people here to photograph some of the most sacred moments of life.

    We highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was Vikesh. He is softly spoken, very knowledgeable of the area, history, religion and geography. He took us on boats, into sensitive spiritual areas, side streets and fantastic coffee bars and restaurants. I captured the most amazing photographs, Vikesh advised me when I could or couldn’t take pics. We even had pre booked seats on a rooftop for the main evening ceremony. We highly recommend this trip.     I had an absolutely incredible experience with my tour guide Vinay. From the moment I met him, his enthusiasm and knowledge about Varanasi’s history, religion and culture shone through. I did the day tour and the morning tour(Banaras Wala Tours) with him. Vinay tailored the tour to my interests, taking me to hidden gems and providing fascinating insights at every stop.
