Vimal Pathak was our guide in Varanasi, he came to pick us up from our hotel Brij Rama. He has knowledge and has elaborated information of the very old Heritage and historical culture of Varanasi. He is the most senior experienced guide. He is also president of the tour guide association. While showing us around, he explained us all about history of all places we visited & he was very funny at times & has a soothing voice, we found out he was a RJ at radio station. Kashi Vishwanath Temple tour with him was a divine experience. Unforgettable evening Ganga Arti was a soulful experience where he had reserved a sitting space for us. We visited all the ghats with him & he explained all the history about them. He was very patient with me as I had a hard time climbing up & down on all the steps due to my knee issues. He explained us about Sarnath place where Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment in Bodh Gaya. One more unique thing to mention, he takes excellent candid pictures. We highly recommend him as your tour guide if you visit Varanasi. He was kind enough to send me an item I wanted from Kashi & ship to my city.
