Evening boat ride followed by Ganga Aarti: Evening boat ride will be the best option to visit cremation place and after that Experience Ganga Aarti.

Aarti is a Hindu ritual, in which light is offered to one or more deities. Aartis also refer to the songs sung in praise of the deity, when offering of lamps is being offered.
Hindus in India worship the river Ganges as goddess. Every evening in Varanasi, aarti is performed at the Dashashwamedh ghat. We can watch it from the ghat or from the waterside in a boat. It is a beautiful, resonant, and majestic spectacle with a very precise choreography involving rituals performed by several priests with the sound of bells, drums, cymbals, and Sanskrit mantras. The river is also worshiped with flower petals.

Lots of boats are stacked up on the river for the Arti , so you may not get a very good view. Avoid taking a motorboat , the noise is bad. Insist on staying till the end of the arti, since most boats start moving out after 20 mins and you are not able to witness the complete process. Even better to go early and try to sit on the ghat itself , closer to the arti site.

It was so amazing and totally unexpected but delightful. It will not be forgotten and it will always be with me forever. Hints : warm clothing in December, good footwear, appropriate clothing and a good camera. If you want a good seat arrive early

As a professional tour guide myself, I am very rarely blown away by a tour. Indrajeet did just that. His personal touch made my time in Varanasi the highlight of my India trip. If you are visiting India at all, this tour is a MUST.

The Aarti is very crowded, very atmospheric, very noisy and very Indian. There are seven priests on seven stages all performing synchronized movements for over half an hour. The atmosphere is terrific but as the form of the ceremony was only made up, according to our guide, in 1996 when the crowds and tourist numbers bean to grow, it is a bit touristy. Two tips. Go a little early and get a seat - they only cost about 50 rupee. Second, leave at around be 7.00, which is a little before the end as the crowds afterwards are terrible!
