Visit the imposing Doge’s Palace with its marvelous rooms rich of artistic artwork made by famous venetian artists. You will discover the halls of power where the Doge and the highest politicians decided the faith of the Venice Republic. In these rooms you will be stunned in front of the “Last Judgment” by Tintoretto, one of the largest paintings in the world. Then the guide will escort you down in the old venetian prisons, passing through the magnificent Bridge of Sighs!

The guided visit will proceed to the Basilica of Saint Mark, known also as the Golden Basilica, thanks to its uncountable mosaics made of pure gold! The guide will explain the history and meaning of the masterpieces that decorate the cathedral.

Ilaria, our guide was interesting and pleasant. However, Tiqets advertises a one-hour tour (in the Venice pass), which actually lasts 40 minutes. Also we rushed through the museum as the guide only stopped for the bronze horses. It is, once we were on our own, that we realized that the museum counted several rooms! So make sure you stay in the basilica once the tour ends.

The tour was very informative. She was friendly and easy to understand. The places are beautiful and worth visiting. I chose the lunch but the service there at Illy’s cafe wasn’t good. Depending on what you order the food is ok. We didn’t like the Tuscan soup but the lasagna was good.

The meeting point was easy to find using Google map. Tizianna was very kind to help us with the tour. We were directed to watch a 3D virtual history of Venice. It was nice. Then, we had to wait for another tour lady to guide us to the Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Cathedral. She was very informative and was easy to understand. I would skip the Lunch at Illy’s cafe. I didn’t like the service there. It was not organized. We kept telling them that we booked the lunch with the tour but no one acknowledged us. It took a long time for a staff to actually get our information and allowed us to order. We had to go through 3 staffs to reach the right one.

Everything went great, got to see the church and palace. You get priority entrance so we get to skip the regular lines.
