Overview

Enjoy a 4-hour wine tasting with appetizers trip day tour visiting an historical winery and it's vineyard. It's located in south-east of Veneto Region, Italy, a territory in which viticulture and enology enjoy an ancient and renowned tradition. The vineyards we visit are almost like beautiful gardens immersed in a rural landscape and the grapes cultivated are typical of this area.

As we leave Venice we make our way to the south-east of Treviso to an historical winery.

The grapes cultivated are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Raboso, Verduzzo, Chardonay, Pinot Grigio, Tocai, Traminer and Prosecco, all grapes are typical of this area. When you arrive you will have the chance to see how they are producing the superlative wines today, visit the cantina with its huge wine barrels and then enjoy the wine tasting combined with appetizers of local products. You will also have the opportunity to stock up on a few bottles of “vino”.

We were very pleased with our tour of the Paladin winery. The history of the winery was enjoyable as was the wine !

We got a chance to see where the wine is stored and views of the vineyard, plus the guide was quite informative. Then we got to try many different wines with information about each. It's the only wine tasting tour I've done, so I can't compare but I really enjoyed it!

Let me start off by saying La Vacanza Travel is usually pretty good. This operator was really bad. We were too met at the car park at 9AM we were there along with another couple that was to take the Wine Tasting tour. We called the operator at 9:20 she said he had already been there no way. I called back now they said he was stuck on the bridge and would be along soon. The driver arrived 10 minutes later, no accident on the bridge just plain late. This was to be English speaking tour right in its name the driver spoke almost no English. So it was a quite drive through lovely countryside however he couldnt explain about the ruins we saw. Got to the winery late the sampling was already underway. So we joined in with the others there. I was a very small room and with15 people in it, it was really small. We tried 4 to 5 wines about 1 ounce each and that was it, all in all not a good place. My wife and I are walking back to the SUV and someone says we have to pay, WHAT. We had to pay 10 Euros a piece. La Vacanza Travel didnt include the winery cost in the tour or we plainly got ripped off. Buyer Beware on this tour.

Beautiful vinyard, very knowledgable guide as to the different wines available. Also very helpful with arranging the shipping of purchases!!!
