Marco (owner and sommelier of Cancari-wine bar) will teach you the best way to do a real tasting and will explain secrets and methods of production of these exceptional wines. He works in this world since many years and so he perfectly knows the characteristic of the Prosecco.

Ai Do Cancari is a traditional wine bar in the heart of Venice, just few steps from Accademia Bridge, in a place very famous for the artistic workshop and away from the overcrowded touristic places.

An Italian sparkling wine tasting (about 40 minutes) in an elegant venetian wine bar in the historical center of Venice

Different sparkling wines to taste with some delicious local finger food! Marco, the sommelier, will be your guide and will explain everything about Prosecco and its history.

You can choose between two amazing type of tasting:
- Sparkilng experience: tasting of four different sparkling wines
- Special Sparkling wine experience: tasting of five different sparkling wines

Marco, the sommelier who owns the shop, was incredibly knowledgeable about Glera grapes and his Proseccos, all coming from the Valdobbiadene valley near Venice. He told us many stories about his life, his family in Lido, and the celebrity clientele that frequents the shop (George and Amal Clooney, the Rothschilds, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, and Angelina Jolie). Not only did we leave with a thorough education on Prosecco, every wine we tasted was amazing. We even bought a rare bottle to enjoy at home.

Marco was the most lovely man and his wines and knowledge of Prosecco was wonderful. We had a fantastic time learning about Prosecco and listening to the stories of his incredible life! Highly recommend when visiting Venice.

This was worth it just for the conversation with Stefano, the owner of the store. 4 glasses of wine were offered paired with a small plate of cheese, meat, and bread.

Stefano was so friendly, we had four very large glasses of delicious Prosecco, we bought some, Stefano chatted to us the whole time. Locals came in to buy wine - it was a lovely was to spend an hour!
