Stop At: Palace of Versailles, Place d'Armes, 78000, Versailles France

Meet your friendly private guide and leave central Paris by luxury minivan to travel to the historic town of Versailles.
Famous as the home of King Louis XIV from 1682 to 1789, the town’s elaborate palace and intricately designed gardens bear testament to his extravagant tastes during his reign.

First stop of the day is the Palace of Versailles, the incredible palatial estate where Louis XVI and his wife, Marie Antoinette,
once lived. The building oozes grandeur both from the outside as well as its inside.

Stop At: The Hall of Mirrors, Chateau de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France

Skip past the lines outside the palace with your skip-the-line ticket, and straight inside to explore. On a tour led by your private
guide, discover the palace’s intriguing State Apartments and see the Hall of Mirrors and Queen’s Apartments. While walking, your
guide will keep you entertained with tales of the aristocrats who held court there.

Stop At: Le Jardin de Versailles, Place D'armes A l'Ouest du Château de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France

After an hour inside Versailles Palace, walk into the gardens and explore them at leisure. Every bit as elaborate as the palace, the
French Baroque-style gardens took nearly 40 years to complete with eye-catching features like the Versailles fountains.

Stop At: Grand Canal, Parc du Chateau de Versailles, 78000, Versailles France

After ambling around, enjoying its resplendent features, meet your guide for a 3-course lunch at a restaurant close to the Grand
Canal.

• Tomato and goat’s cheese salad with basil

Second Course (choice of one):

Marvel at its pink marble colonnades with your guide and hear tales of Napoleon who revamped it after after Louis XIV and his
family left. The Queen’s Hamlet is nearby, and so head over to visit this next. Created by the esteemed French architect Richard

This was a great tour and it delivered as promised. Our guide Isabel was so knowledgeable that other tourists were stopping to listen to her as she explained the different parts of the Palace. Having all the back stories helped us get a felling for what it was like to be King and Queen of France. It pays to have a small group tour like this, since there is so much to cover. Lunch was in a cute restaurant alongside the grand canal, and it was well appreciated after all the walking that we did. Our guide was always helpful, never boring, and really knew her stuff. Thanks again Isabel !

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Our family had unusual needs and time constraints, but La Vacanza Travel and our tour guide Jean met them happily and graciously. We would not otherwise have been able to see Versailles. Being able to skip the lines also made a huge difference in what we were able to accomplish that day. Jean was extremely personable and knowledgable. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests, and truly went above and beyond what we expected. This was a fantastic experience, and worth every penny.

Versailles is amazing. It was a little bit difficult to understand our guide's English.
