Manuel was the perfect guide for our 2 teenage grandchildren; he kept the minute details to a minimum while portraying the essence of Versailles in ways that held the interest of teens. The golf cart was the perfect way to see the gardens on a hot August day.

It’s absolutely worth doing this private tour. The lines are super long and the tour is very informative. Our tour guide Lilli was fantastic!

We did two Liv tours while in Paris - the Louvre tour with Violette and the Versailles golf cart tour with Manny. We loved both tours for a couple of similar reasons 1) the quality and storytelling of the guides. Both guides were incredibly knowledgeable and they told stories that resonated. We will remember what we learned because of the storytelling. They weren’t just doing a tour to do a tour they were teaching us about art and history and that was amazing. 2) the guides tailored the content for our family. Violette focused the tour on a few key areas and then also seeing we were jet lagged had us sit off to the side while we talked about what we were seeing in rooms. Then later in the week when with Manny we couldn’t stop asking questions (not jet lagged any longer) so he brought us to the parts where the kids were most interested and most engaged. 3) the guides tied together the two places knowing we were touring both. For example Violette brought us to the kings crown then Manny helped us see the same crown in a painting in Versailles. That continuity helped us really start to imagine what it could have been like back in the day. I can’t be more positive about our experience on both tours; we will use LivTours in any future travel.
