We missed it! We could not find the meeting place. We asked at our hotel, a biker in the street, 2 women walking, a police officer, and even a taxi driver. We gave up. No one knew where Limmitstrasde, or whatever it was, was.
Picturesque and four modes of transportation. The guide was great. But we had over tow hours on top of the mountain. Unless you are a hiker or shopper there is nothing to do after the first half hour of picture taking.
It was enjoyable but too many people. Hard to hear our guide with no microphones for us or him on walk.
This was the worst tour I’ve been on through La Vacanza Travel. I planned it for my first day in Zürich so I could get a feel for the city. We drove around on the bus where you couldn’t really see anything and didn’t have a way to take pictures. We then took a walking tour of old town, which was basically just a courtyard. This was all very rushed so the people that were going on the including boat tour could get to the pier. The boat tour group was instructed to walk to the pier on their own, while the bus returned the rest of the participants to the original pick up point. The boat tour people had to get back on their own. Since I was unfamiliar with the city and quite some distance from my hotel, I had to figure out how to purchase a transportation pass and negotiate the Zürich transportation system without speaking the language. This proved to be quite challenging, I was not a task I was prepared for at the time .
Enjoyed the cable car and ferry across the river. Would have loved to see the inside of the churches. Really enjoyed the view of the city from the University.
