Overview

This is an adventure excursion to the highest vantage point in central Switzerland! A pleasant ride on a comfortable deluxe motor coach takes us to the mountain resort of Engelberg in central Switzerland, where we board the aerial cableway for a 40 minute journey from the green valley to the high alpine glacier region at 3020 m/10000 ft. (This altitude guarantees snow the whole year round.)

Check in for your tour at the Gray Line counter at the bus parking Sihlquai.

Pass By: Engelberg, Engelberg, Canton of Obwalden

On a scenic route you will drive to Engelberg, where a cable car brings you from the green valley up to the eternal snow at 3020 meters above sea level.

Stop At: Lake Trubsee, Engelberg Switzerland

In Trübsee you will change cable cars. The revolving 'Rotair' gondola offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the region.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Bergstration Titlis, Engelberg 6390 Switzerland

Two full hours are spent on the top of the mountain. Four spectacular attractions are included.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Titlis Cliff Walk, Along the Cliff of Mount Titlis Swiss Alps, Engelberg 6390 Switzerland

Walk over the famous Titlis Cliff Walk, snowtube in the fun park, take a ride on the Ice Flyer chairlift and touch ice in the glacier cave.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Engelberg, Engelberg, Canton of Obwalden

After enjoying all the attractions on top of Mt. Titlis, board the cable car for the ride back down to Engelberg.

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Lucerne, Lucerne

On the way back you will have the pleasure of spending approx. 1 hour in Lucerne before returning to Zurich by coach.

Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Sihlquai, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland

Finish your tour back in Zurich in the early evening.

Took the tour on 21 March and the guide and bus driver were awesome! The views were stunning! What could be better - both the free time at Mount Titlis and in Lucern could be an hour longer to get the most out of the tour. But it was a great experience overall!

I have never left a review in my life but it was so bad I had to. the “tour” guide rushed my group through everything didn’t do anything except tell us to be here at this time wouldn’t call it much of a “tour” more of a transportation to the mountains.

Traveled here on a day trip from Zurich by motor coach, hands down one of the highlights of my trip to Switzerland. The trip up is two stops then you change over to the Rotator lift, this lift was just okay, it was so full of people with Skis and stuff it wasn’t as enjoyable as the other lifts in my opinion. Also it’s quite quick, so there’s not a lot of time to enjoy the moment. It doesn’t matter because you do all your best sightseeing on top of the mountain! *****Warning! The top of the mountain smells like raw sewage! When you get off the Rotator you will be treated to the unholiest of smells, just be prepared. This smell will be all over the structure on the mountain but once you get outside and to the top of the mountain the smell is gone! We did all the activities except any kind of Skiing. The Ice Flyer was fun, but not so much the cliff walk, I’m not afraid of heights at all, but there I also was prepared how much the bridge sways, especially in the middle. There were some rowdy ppl on the bridge that were jumping up and down, while I was on the bridge making it sway and bounce more than I was comfortable with, so I got off, but got back on later and walked across. There’s not really a bad spot on top of the mountain to get photos, so not crossing the cliff walk isn’t going to deprive you of any great photo opportunities. The only activity I thought was a ☠️ trap, was the Glacier cave, the rails were so low and the floor was just asking you to slip and fall I hated every moment I was in there! I wouldn’t recommend it at all. This is the review of the tour operator we booked through Trip Advisor: Booked a motor coach tour to Mt. Titlis, and Lucerne, Switzerland. Hands down this was the best tour we went on in Switzerland! We even did the Bernina Express and prefer this experience two to one! Not only was our motor coach relatively new, the tour b/c it wasn’t peak had only 8 people! Our guide was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, hilarious and delightful. On our way to Mt. Titlis we stopped to see a famous chapel. The drive didn’t seem long at all and I think we spent 3 hours on the mountain and and hour in Lucerne. We booked this trip on Trip Advisor and it was around $325 for two ppl and it included all our lift tickets, entry and other sights on top of the mountain! Though I would have liked to have spent more time in Lucerne I am grateful it was even part of the trip, it was absolutely amazing, and we toured the famous Lion statue, and our guide gave us the history of this monument.
