We booked the tour via our hotel’s concierge (we stayed at H+ Hotel Zurich). The price is CHF169 per adult and CHF84.50 per child. The tour started off with checking in at the tour company’s counter which is a short walking distance from Zurich HB. We were given a sticker to identify the tour group and bus number we were assigned to, and a brochure on the different levels available at Mt Titlis. Our group’s guide, Michele Egger was absolutely fantastic! She conducted the entire tour in both English and Spanish to cater to the different language needs of the group. Our group’s bus driver, José, was also truly wonderful. Both he and Michele helped to keep us safe throughout our traveling to the base point for Mt Titlis and back to Zurich itself. Whenever we got off the bus to take a break and hopped back on, they would help each other out to ensure that all passengers were on board before moving off. Throughout the journey there and back, Michele shared with us so much about the culture, heritage and history of the buildings and locations we went past. She also shared with us about the history of Switzerland, and this was an eye opener for us because there was just so much to learn from her! She shared with us about Mt Titlis as well, and we could tell it was something that meant very much to her and she was truly very passionate about what she believed in for Mt Titlis. While we did not get to experience the chair lift and suspension bridge parts because there was a sudden snowstorm, the fact that we got to take the cable car and rotating cable cars up and walk in the ice glacier cave and in the snow made the experience fulfilling enough. The entire tour took about 9.5 hours, including travel time and time for a short break and lunch as well. It is good to pack a winter jacket as you would need it when you walk in the snow. It’s also good to wear trekking shoes or snow boots so you don’t slip and fall while walking as it can be slippery at some parts. Gloves are optional unless you are very sensitive to cold. Definitely no need for heat packs/ pads. For those looking to visit Mt Titlis, I highly recommend booking the tour with this company! It would be even greater if you are lucky enough to have Michele and José with you because they are truly the best tour duo you and your family can have.

Mt. Titlis is beautiful. The vistas were breathtaking and provided many beautiful family photos. The glacier cave and cliff walks were fun and our family enjoyed them. Be prepared - the mountain was crowded. Thomas was knowledgable guide who provided commentary on the villages and types of architecture that we saw during our ride. Thomas also did a terrific job corralling the approximately 45 guests who took the tour that day. Our driver (sorry, didn't catch his name) was careful and experienced which meant a lot as he navigated the sharp turns heading to Mt. Titlis. A few critiques keep me from giving this a higher rating. First, the time in Lucerne is negligible. An hour was barely enough time for Thomas to give us a few directions and get a cup of coffee or an ice cream treat. Suggest that the tour's description disclose the time spent in Lucerne so that visitors can plan accordingly. We ended up cancelling a second "Best of Switzerland Tour" later in the week and taking the train to Lucerne from Zurich so that we could spend the day in Lucerne and enjoy its beauty, history and restaurants. Perhaps the time in Lucerne was restricted because a group was habitually late returning to the bus. Not sure what can be done about that, but it was unfortunate.

The overall plan is good, however in our case the guide was suffering from bad throat and was laboring with his commentary.

My wife and I were searching for a tour that would give us a good flavor for Switzerland while we were in Zurich for a full day. After reading reviews, Lucerne and Mt. Titlis looked great. I think the tour company did a decent job for what it was, but I would not recommend this tour to anyone. It was very crowded, rushed and not a relaxing day. You will leave Zürich on a double deck bus at 9:30am. No food or drink permitted. The bus was was very full with uncourteous people (shoes off, body odor, and a few were clearly sick, coughing, sneezing, runny noses, etc. (not the fault of the tour company). The ride from Zurich to Mt. Titlis was long. Upon arrival we stood in the ticketing area waiting for the tour guide to corral a large group, coordinate ticketing entry and instructions with upon arrival. Not sure why ticketing wasn’t taken care of in advance. The mountain was packed with people also crowded. The gondolas were jam packed and we felt like Sardines in the middle of people pushing and shoving for a spot. Lunch was at a busy cafeteria with expensive food that was not good. We were thinking we would have a nice lunch in Lucerne but that was not the case. We departed the Mountain around 3:45pm after waiting for late passengers to return to the bus. The views were beautiful, but if you have been skiing before, not much different. After Titlis, we drove to Lucerne and only were given one hour to walk around before returning to the bus. Lucerne was nice but there was not enough time to stop, sightsee or for a meal. The bus ride then returned us to Zürich at 7pm. We were exhausted and hungry upon our return to Zürich wishing we had spent our one day in Switzerland elsewhere. In retrospect, we could have taken the train from Zurich to Lucerne on our own for less money and it would have been a more enjoyable day.

This tour was outstanding. Our guide Thomas was excellent - a true professional. We went on four tours this trip and this was by far the best.
