5 Top-Rated Attractions to Visit On Your Trip to Pattaya

There is no shortage of places to visit and attractions to experience in Pattaya. But if you’re going to make the most of your trip, these five top-rated attractions should be on your list:

Sanctuary of Truth

Locals say that it is “the magnificence of heaven recreated on earth,” but tourists who’ve seen the Sanctuary of Truth would agree that it is one of the most intricately designed structures in all of Thailand.

Made entirely of wood, the teak structure was created to honor philosophies and traditions with details talking about the utopia, the cycle of life and the relationship of humanity to the universe.

Every corner of this massive sanctuary is carefully decorated with woodcarvings showcasing the skill of local carvers and none of the wood used in the structure has been chemically treated, so you can really see their natural beauty.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden

The sprawling 500-hectare botanical garden was supposed to be a fruit plantation. But its owners Pisit and Nongnooch Tansacha planted tropical plants and flowers instead to make it into a wildlife conservation project.

Today, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden has nine divisions and it also has a hotel, a mini zoo, two restaurants and Thai-style rental houses for visitors to enjoy.

You can also book a day tour to the garden where you can see different religious ceremonies, explore the huge complex, get a massage and watch martial arts demonstrations.

Jomtien Beach

Located three kilometers south of Pattaya, Jomtien beach offers a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This six-kilometer stretch of sand is flocked by tourists who want to spend a day lazing on the beach, trying different water activities like kite surfing, parasailing and jet skiing or sampling fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants in the area.

If you’re travelling with kids, there is also the Cartoon Network Amazone waterpark nearby that features amazing pools, fountains, slides and cartoon-themed rides.

Pattaya Floating Market

Thailand is known for its floating markets and one of the best is located in Pattaya. Also known as the “Four Regions Floating Market,” this 100,000-square kilometer development represents the north, northeast, central and south Thailand through shops that sell products from these regions.

At least 114 vendors are selling on their boats while the others are on stilted cottages with bridges and walkways connecting them.

So, if you fancy some shopping for local souvenirs and just about anything that represents Thailand, you must visit Pattaya Floating Market.

Walking Street

Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without the one place that gave Pattaya its name for being the party capital of Thailand.

Walking street is essentially 500 meters of road that’s closed to traffic after 6:00 PM where it transforms into the ultimate party venue with a string of beer bars, restaurants, go-go bars and nightclubs catering for anyone looking to have a good time.

Pattaya is definitely one for the books and you’ll never regret spending at least a day or two in this infamous beach and party town.

Pattaya has built a reputation for being a party hotspot in Thailand, and Walking Street is where it all happens. During the day, the street from Soi 14 to Soi 16 is just like any other street in the central part of Pattaya, busy and filled with cars. But when the sun sets and the street is closed to traffic starting 7:00 PM, it becomes the biggest and busiest entertainment and red-light district in all of Thailand that draws locals and tourists for its colorful nightlife offerings.Walking Street...
