Krabi Night Markets and Life
Thailand is generally famous for it's weekend and night markets, and Krabi is no exception. Known to locals as Thanon Khon Dern, the Krabi Night Market is bustling with local and foreign tourists.
Held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, the night market is located at the 2,000 square meter plaza in Soi Maharaj 8 just behind Vogue Department Store. Here, you’ll find at least 50 stalls selling everything from souvenirs and street food, all giving you authentic Thai shopping experience.
The night market started in 2013 and was opened to give tourists a glimpse of what life in southern Thailand is like and to showcase its local crafts. Local artists and artisans make most of the products sold here and you’ll be surprised at the wide range of products that you can buy on this weekly night market.
Of course, your trip to Krabi won’t be complete without sampling some authentic Thai snacks and street food at the night market.
The best part is, everything here is a lot cheaper than going to the mall or eating at restaurants, so you can really stretch your budget by getting some good bargains and polishing your haggling skills while you’re at it.
