It was the worst experience to buy a ticket. On the banner they write ‘buy a ticket online’ but we’ve got a voucher instead. Than we had to exchange this voucher to the actual tickets at the office in the middle of the city

Bought the 72 hour ticket fot 3 persons. It is for use of ONLY the Blue line and the Red line (seasonal). Never saw the red line so no idea when "the season" for that is. Anyway, very good experience, made a total of 9 trips from the airport to the Island Lido takes more than an hour but it is quite a relaxed way to go as you can get on the boat at the airport and we got of at Lido a 10 minute walk from our hotel. You can take a bus if you don't like walking though. Tip from me, take the blue line al the way to the end, the railway station and walk through the city to san Marco square or anywhere you like. You get a "free" touristic boattrip around the city that way. Added bonus, the ticket validity starts when you pick up reserved tickets at the ticket office next to the boats. So we could use it on day 4 to get back to the airport. I read a lot of reviews complaining about punctuality or the personell. On all the 9 trips the boat was there within 2 minutes of the scheduled time. Personell was doing a good job, no complaints there. most of the time they said wich direction the boat was going even though you can clearly see that if you pay attention to the direction it is coming from. From Lido you could see the boats at least 5 minutes in advance.

When you ask in a friendly way if the boat is going to San Marco, you either don't get an answer or only very unfriendly and annoyed. (BTW: On the sign on the boat you can't see the direction of the trip and also after the timetable you can't guess it because the boats are not punctual. So the question after the direction is legitimate). The employees react very annoyed when you talk to them. A terrible vacation experience. Alilaguna: How many more bad reviews have to happen here for you to teach your employees proper manners? A shame for such a beautiful city as Venice, which lives off the tourists.

Without a doubt. Not just because they were incredibly rude, as others have pointed out. Not just because they didn't bother to open the gate as they were supposed to, more than once. They pull up to the stop, then just leave, stranding passengers waiting behind the gate. They said the boat we got on to was going to the Lido stop from San Marco. Then, two stops later when it looked like we were going the wrong way, I asked again. This time they said no. I asked why they had given me wrong information 5 minutes earlier. They just shrugged, as though they couldn't care less. So I decided, as I was getting off at the wrong stop, to take a photo of them, as I figured the company might want to know. At which point, one of them assaulted me, jumping onto my back, put me in a choke hold, wrestled me to the ground, and said, "You're going to delete that photo." So I did. Then I went and filed a legal proceeding against them, on the advice of an Italian lawyer friend. The rest of the passengers on the boat were aghast at what was happening, as I was. The company's response so far has been, "Sorry for the inconvenience." Unbelievable. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
