During World War II, the palace and castle complex got seriously damaged. The restoration was completed in 1966.
Buda Castle is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The modern complex includes the Fisherman's Bastion with a gallery, the house of Hungarian wines on Holy Trinity Square, the Sandor Palace. A monument to Eugene of Savoy, the famous commander who saved Buda from Turkish conquest, was erected near the entrance to the palace. Stop At: Matthias Church, Szentharomsag ter 2, Budapest 1014 Hungary
The Gothic Matthias Church is one of the main attractions of the fortress hill in Budapest. The temple was built in the 13th century on the site of an even more ancient church of St. Mary, destroyed by the Tatar-Mongols. During the Turkish rule, the temple was turned into a mosque, but after the liberation of the city it again became a Catholic church: in the 19th century, the church was rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style.
Thanks to the 80-meter bell tower, the church of St. Matthias is the tallest building in the ensemble of the fortress. The roof is covered with a unique multi-colored tile, which gives the cathedral a bright, and festive appearance. The Church of St. Matthias, famous for excellent acoustics, regularly hosts concerts of organ and chamber music.

Batthyany Square on the coasts of the Danube is surrounded by lovely buildings.
On the opposite side of the square is St. Anne's Church with two towers. On the facade there are statues of Faith, Hope and Love, St. Anne and the Virgin Mary, a golden figure of Jesus surrounded by angels, as well as the coat of arms of Buda.
Nearby there is a two-story hotel of the White Cross. The old building of 1770 is famous for its guests. Emperor Joseph 2 and the famous Casanova stayed at this place. The next building is Hikish's house. Above the shopping shops of the first floor you can observe the reflections of the sculpture on the theme of the seasons.
All these astonishing historical landmarks will make a great backdrop for your photo shoot and will serve as a delightful memory from your trip to Budapest.
