Today you are going to discover the beauty of the Egyptian Western Desert and see the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls amidst the sprawling desert, you will capture delightful photos in the foreground of the Mudawara Mountains and experience the high and low dunes on an exciting desert adventure you will also slide along the soft desert sands during a thrilling sand boarding activity and taste the Bedouin delicious BBQ lunch or Dinner with tea

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Our tour will start with a pickup service from your hotel or another selected location in Cairo or Giza between 7:30AM & 8:30AM for morning options & between 12noon to 12:30 PM for the afternoon options. Board a modern AC car and enjoy a comfortable one & half hour ride to the Wadi El Rayan National Park. Our first stop will be a fantastic view of the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, admire the powerful cascades of water which provide a stark contrast to the surrounding arid landscape. Now, it is time for a camel ride, feel like a Bedouin explorer as you ride through the beautiful desert.

The next stop it the panoramic view form the Mudawara Mountains, make a stop for photos from the top of the mountain. Are you ready to make your adrenaline high? it is time for Dune bashing by the 4X4 land Cruiser followed by a stop to enjoy some sand-boarding. Strap yourself to the sandboard and glide down the sparkling, yellow sand at a fast pace.

After the activity is done it is time to stop at a Bedouin desert camp and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch or dinner based on option selected, taste the bedouin Tea. Once you are done, you will be dropped back to your hotel or selected location in Cairo or Giza

It was an amazing experience. From the time they pick you up until it’s finished. Amn the tour manager was always there tending to all your needs. Whatever you ask he will do. You are the boss here. The whole trip was beautiful. The old city. The museum. The salt lake. The Safari. Sleeping under the starts. The oasis. The food. Everything was perfect. The salt lake was one of the highlights of this trip. Very unique and wonderful. Its like a magical paradise. The safari what an amazing experience. Recommend this whole trip. Professional company that provided a great day tour option to get out of the city and see a more remote area of Egypt. We loved the sand-boarding on the dunes and the views from the Mountains. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back. Advice for other travelers - if smoke bothers you, you may want to request a non-smoking guide as it is common in Egypt. Also, swimming was not permitted. I’m not sure if it was the time of year as other reviewers seem to have enjoyed swimming in the lake, so please inquire before booking if this is important to you.

We had a wonderful time and our guides were brilliant. We were not rushed and could take our time around the pyramids and Sphinx. Rasha our guide around the pyramids was knowledgeable and very experienced - it made the trip feel unique and personal. Our guide for the desert, Amn, was incredibly professional and thoughtful, and again allowed us to go at our own pace while ensuring we got the most out of our time. He also was very knowledgeable and well connected with the sites and people there. Dune basking, rowing on the lakes, sand boarding, and the striking in beautiful “magic lake” were all an incredible and exhilarating experience. Overall, for us, having personal guides were the perfect way to see the sites, we were very well taken care of, the food was good (with delicious fresh fruits), we felt safe and supported at all times.

This was a great way to see the real side of Egypt and do things a typical tourist level tour does. We did a camel ride and experienced the culture, sites and food outside the typical tourist agenda. Ivan the guide was great and I recommend this tour adventure.

We went today and this was a wonderful experience. I was a little concerned about safety due to the current unrest in nearby regions but it turns out that the concern was unfounded. We felt safe in Cairo and safe throughout the excursion. There was never cause for concern. Our guide Ivan was great. He picked us up promptly and we took off for Wadi El Rayyan Park. Along the way we saw the Pyramids in the distance and Ivan gave us many details about the area along the route. En route we travelled through a small town that gave us an idea of how the people there live. It was shopping day there where all the people go to shop once a week and looked like a giant farmers market. We went on and stopped before we got to the park to switch to the 4x4 Land cruiser and the competent and safe driver who accompanied it. We got to the park and viewed many sites. Ivan gave us great background and discussion about the sites along with answering all our questions. We got to go on the camel ride which was a high point for me. Our terrific driver also took us off road up and down many sand dunes. We also tried out sand boarding which was a lot of fun. We ended up at the Bedouin Camp which was a unique experience with enjoyable food. After that we headed home. The whole day took about 9 hours and introduced us to a lot of experiences that you don't get on the mainstream touristy things typically done in Egypt. I highly recommend the experience and have the utmost confidence in Ivan.
